Do you know any professional ballet dancer who began ballet classes in the age of 15?

please help me because i really want to know if you can be a professional ballerina who began ballet classes in the age of 15.

Do you know any professional ballet dancer who began ballet classes in the age of 15?performing shows

Most companies do NOT take older dancers. They take dancers in their 20s to be professional. I have not heard of ANY dancer that is a pro beggining at 15! I thnk if u want to start ballet then u should do it for the fitness and not to become pro. It takes alot! Most pros move away from home to a company at 7-8 yrs. old and dance and take classes there until they are around 20 then the company takes some and rejects most!

Do you know any professional ballet dancer who began ballet classes in the age of 15?say yes opera theater

of course you can..you can even become pro if you're 50 years old!
most professional ballet dancers began at the age of 4-5...

You can begin at 15,if you are willing to start in a beginner class, and learn all the positions of ballet, you would probably need private lessons.and work and practice EVERY day to catch up...most 15 yr old ballarinas are already into an accredited school of ballet, and you have to be excepted...I took dance for 8 yrs...and my ankles were too weak for toe...so I had to quit...being a professional ballerina is very hard, grueling, lifetime work...that's why most teach dance.

Charin Yuthasastrkosol started ballet lessons at the age of 47 and became a professional ballerina. As long as you work hard and are dedicated, you can do whatever you want.
No, I know of any ballerinas that started that late. The one that started at age 47 was a miracle. I don't want to try and give you false hope thru a pep talk like some posters that say "you can do anything if you just try hard enough" - Well, No you can't. It doesn't happen that way, sorry. Pro dancers start young - no later than 9 or 10 although men can start later - I've personally seen male dancers that started at 18 and were pro by age 22. My son started at 16 and missed being pro due to injuries at age 21. If dance students have what teachers consider the "right stuff" most as shipped off to dance academies like ABT, The Rock School, Joffrey etc by age 15. Education at those places is VERY expensive. Competition is murderous especially for women (men have it somewhat easier) and your odds while not impossible, are vanishingly small that its not going to happen despite having talent - no matter how hard you work and how good your teachers are. There is no reason though you can't take dance and become as good as you can for fitness, or even major in dance performance and/or choreography in college. In dance, many are called and very very few are chosen. Most female dancers are lucky if they dance for 10 years, while men can make it to their late 30's or early 40's. Work is hard, conditions are variable, and pay is mostly lousy. Most careers end due to arthritis and chronic injuries that eventually need surgery.
If you really love to dance, and you want to with all you heart, you will be able to be a professional. Just remember that there is a company for everyone. Even if you don't make it into the trillion dollar company who's name is all over, doesn't mean you won't have accomplished anything. You'll do it.
I'm not sure if she'll become professional or not, but I know of a girl who just got accepted at the Royal Winnipeg ballet at 15 yrs old with only a year and a half of training. Keep in mind, this is an amazing exception. This girl is beyond words. She already dances like a professional. She has the perfect ballet body to go with it. The perfect ballerina shape, amazing turnout, perfect feet, beautiful artistry, good brain (able to pick up combinations), a feeling for music, attractive (she is even prettier when she dances because you can see the love for it in her face)....

As I said, I'm not sure if she'll be professional or not. But I honestly believe it's never too late to start. There are so many other careers that involve dance other than being in a ballet company. Explore all of your options.
I say if your willing to work hard, the sky is the limit. And no, i dont know of annyone who whent professional at 15, you will be the first.....I bet!!!! :)
