Dance Help (Ballet)?

Some friends and I are planning to take ballet in a year or so. What are some good ways we can pratice stretching so we will be better by the time we start?

Ballet takes lots of flexibility and core strength. To develop core strength, do lots of abdominal work. Legs can be stretched by side and center splits, toe touching, any basic leg stretches. Your back needs to be flexible as well. Lay flat on the floor, face down and push up your upper body with your hands (elbows bent) to stretch your back.

Your best bet is to just start the ballet classes. The more classes you do, the stronger and more flexible you become over time. It takes years to get good and to become flexible, so don't get discouraged. Good luck!

Stretch every way u can think of and point ur toes and always keep ur legs straight and turned out!

Good Luck!!!
